How much does a domain cost? Renewal prices
SiteSpin costs $28 a month for the website and business tools, including a custom domain, renewed for you automatically, with no separate renewal bill. A .com domain bought separately usually costs about $11 to $23 a year to keep; $0.01 to $1 offers are introductory.

SiteSpin covers the renewal, too
A .com domain usually costs about $11 to $23 a year to keep, beyond any first-year offer. With SiteSpin, a custom domain, renewed for you automatically, comes with the website, bookings, messages and changes from your phone.
Tell SiteSpin what you do, and it suggests a web address that matches your business name. It builds your website in minutes, with the pages and business tools you need already working together.
When you choose your address in the app, it says so in its own words: “I buy and renew the domain for you for as long as you’re Pro.” Pro is SiteSpin’s plan.
The next year’s renewal is covered too. SiteSpin renews before expiry and keeps checking that the website is up. You have no separate renewal bill or domain renewal date to remember.
First-year offers and what three years cost
For a domain bought separately, start with the renewal price. A registrar is the company you register the address through. The first-year offer is what you pay to start; the renewal price is what you pay to keep the address.
Here are .com prices read on 30 October 2026, in US dollars. Figures are rounded, with totals calculated before rounding.
| Registrar | First year | Renewal a year | Three years |
|---|---|---|---|
| Porkbun | About $11 | About $11 | About $33 |
| Namecheap | About $11, on sale | About $18 | About $48 |
| GoDaddy | $0.01, with a three-year registration | About $23 | About $46, before fees |
The totals use today’s first-year price plus two years at the stated renewal price. Future prices and checkout totals may differ. GoDaddy’s penny offer requires a three-year registration, and its figures above exclude an ICANN fee of $0.20 a year.
IONOS also advertises a $1 first year. The introductory price is not the ongoing annual cost.
You cannot buy a domain forever. You register it for a term, then renew it. A low opening price matters less once the address is on your website and customers know it.
Why the ending changes the price
The ending is the part after the business name, such as .com or .shop. It affects the recurring price, as well as the first-year offer. A cheap first year does not make an ending cheap to keep.
These are Porkbun prices, read on 30 October 2026 and rounded. This table describes registrar prices, rather than the domains included with SiteSpin.
| Ending | First year | Renewal a year |
|---|---|---|
| .com | About $11 | About $11 |
| .app | About $9, on sale | About $15 |
| .co | About $16, on sale | About $31 |
| .shop | About $2, on sale | About $31 |
Other renewals in the same price list include about $13 a year for .net, $52 for .io and $83 for .ai. Porkbun says its listed prices include ICANN and other fees.
Choose the address for the business you intend to keep running. If an ending only looks affordable because of its introductory offer, use the renewal price when deciding. SiteSpin takes that recurring purchase off your list by including the domain and its automatic renewal.
What else you may pay for
Privacy protection
Domain privacy keeps personal contact details out of public domain records. Porkbun, Namecheap and GoDaddy include privacy protection at no extra charge.
Look at what a quoted registration already includes before adding privacy as another purchase. It is not automatically a separate annual bill.
Email at the address
A domain and a business email account are different purchases. Google Workspace Business Starter costs $7 per person a month with an annual commitment, or $84 a year for one person. That includes a business email address such as you@your-company.com.
SiteSpin’s inbox handles messages from your website. A customer sends a message through the contact form, you read and reply in the app, and their answer returns to the same conversation. The inbox shows which messages are new and which you have replied to.
If you also want a general business mailbox, budget for that service separately from the domain registration. Its cost does not appear in the registrar totals above.
A name someone already owns
The price of an address someone already holds is separate from ordinary registration. GoDaddy says there are no definitive prices in that market. A standard renewal table cannot tell you what the holder will ask for the name.
You can also choose another address that still matches the business. SiteSpin suggests one from your business name, so finding an address does not have to become a naming project of its own.
What happens if a domain expires?
If a domain expires, the website and email on that address can stop working. If the name is not restored and is released, someone else can register it.
SiteSpin renews before expiry, so keeping the address does not depend on remembering a separate registrar bill or updating a card there.
A forgotten renewal can turn into a restoration charge. ICANN requires registrars to send renewal reminders approximately a month and a week before expiry.
For a .com domain deleted after expiry, ICANN describes a 30-day redemption period during which it remains available to restore. Restoration can cost more than renewal: Squarespace charges a one-time $45 redemption fee for a .com, in addition to the domain’s price.
The reminders and the recovery charge are different parts of the same recurring job: keeping an address registered. If you buy the domain separately, keep its renewal price and date with your other business bills.
With SiteSpin, that job is handled for you. It renews the domain before expiry and keeps checking that your website is up. The address stays included, without a separate registrar renewal to arrange.
Do website builders keep paying for the domain?
Most website builders treat the included domain as an introductory offer. Wix and Squarespace include a domain for the first year on selected annual plans, then charge for renewal.
GoDaddy’s AI builder, Hostinger Website Builder and WordPress.com also include the domain for the first year on relevant annual plans. Shopify, Webflow and Square Online leave domain registration as a separate purchase.
So “domain included” can mean different things. With those first-year offers, renewal becomes another bill after the offer ends. SiteSpin’s website price includes a custom domain, renewed for you automatically.
Already have a domain? SiteSpin can connect it to the website. You can start with the business name and address customers already know.
What the address brings customers to
An address is useful because of what a customer can do when they arrive. SiteSpin builds the website behind it, writes the pages from what you tell it and arranges them so visitors can find what they came for.
Alder Street Electric below is an example business built with SiteSpin. Its electrician website on a phone shows what sits behind the address: a place to present the business and let customers get in touch.
A customer’s next step might be a message, a booking or an order. SiteSpin sets up what your business needs:
- Clients choose a service and a time. They receive confirmations and reminders, and can move or cancel their booking within your rules.
- Customers choose products, sizes or options in the shop. You manage the orders from your phone.
- Customers pay for bookings and orders through your Stripe account. SiteSpin adds no transaction fee; Stripe’s card fees apply.
- Website messages stay in an inbox where you can reply as your business.
- Spam protection is built in, and a privacy notice is included where your website collects customer details.
- Tell SiteSpin your news and it becomes a blog post. Visitor statistics show which pages people visit and the bookings, messages and orders those visits lead to.
Then the business changes. Say “change my opening hours” or “add this product” from your phone, and SiteSpin makes the change where it belongs. You can type or speak, and send photos straight from your camera.
The address, the website and the daily work belong together. You provide the service or products; SiteSpin takes care of building and changing the website that supports them.
What SiteSpin’s price includes
SiteSpin builds the website and makes the later changes you ask for. The pricing page carries the billing details; the website cost guide explains the budget beyond the address.
If you’re new to SiteSpin, your first 7 days are free, and nothing is charged until they end. An email reminds you before the free week ends.
Choosing a name you can keep using
Start with the business name customers know. Prefer an address you can say aloud and someone can type without an explanation. Adding LLC is useful if customers know it as part of the name; it does not need to be added just to make an address look official.
Consider the renewal price, especially when an unusual ending has a low introductory offer. Tell SiteSpin your business name, and it suggests a matching address.
Registering an address does not give you trademark rights. The USPTO says you could be required to surrender a domain if it infringes someone else’s trademark.
If someone builds a SiteSpin website for you, they can transfer it to you with its domain. To move the domain to another registrar, contact SiteSpin support after the initial 60-day transfer restriction. There is no SiteSpin transfer fee.
Get the address with the business behind it
SiteSpin is built by a small business, for small businesses. It is independent, with no outside investors, and puts the value into what owners get, including the domain’s renewal.
Tell SiteSpin what you do. It builds your website, suggests a matching address and gives you a place to handle bookings, orders and messages from your phone. The renewal is already taken care of.
SiteSpin does not build custom apps, accounting systems or the systems needed to run a large company. It is not for managing a complex retail operation.
Common questions
Can I buy a domain forever?
No. A domain is registered for a term, typically one to ten years, then renewed.
What's the cheapest way to get a domain?
For the .com prices shown here, Porkbun has the lowest three-year total. Compare the required registration term, renewal price and fees before judging an introductory offer.
Do I get a free domain with a website builder?
Wix and Squarespace include a domain for the first year on selected annual plans, then charge for renewal. SiteSpin includes a custom domain, renewed for you automatically, with no separate renewal bill.
Does owning a domain give me trademark rights?
No. The USPTO says registering a domain does not give you trademark rights. If it infringes someone else's trademark, you could be required to surrender it.
Should I put LLC in my domain name?
Use the business name customers know and type. Add LLC if it is part of that familiar name, rather than adding it just to make the address look official.
