For your first website, start with the action you want a visitor to take: book, buy or write.

Photos, changes and messages
Every percentage in this figure is a share of all first websites in the study. Photos, changes and messages were counted up to October 27, 2026. The shop, booking and domain figures show what was in place then.

Owners sent photos for more than half
Owners supplied their own photos for 55% of all study websites.
Begin with photos of what you sell, work you’ve done or the place clients will visit. You can send them straight from your phone; SiteSpin chooses which photo leads and where the others go.
Three in ten were changed through the chat
For 30% of all study websites, owners asked for a change after SiteSpin built the website, and SiteSpin made it. Among the websites changed through the chat, the median was 2 changes.
Plan for changes as your business moves on. With SiteSpin, new hours, prices or photos are another request in the same conversation, by text or voice from your phone.
Visitors wrote to 18% of websites
Visitors sent a message through the contact form to 18% of all study websites. The websites had been online for different lengths of time, so this does not tell us how soon a new website will receive a message.
Give visitors a way to ask for a quote or clarify a service.
Bookings and payment arrived during the study
Of all study websites, 10% listed products in a SiteSpin shop, 7% offered services people could book online, and 9% used a custom domain.
Online booking was released on August 31, 2026, and online payment on October 12, 2026. Websites built earlier could add them only later. Read these tool figures as a floor, with their shorter availability in mind, rather than a verdict on what owners want.
Tell SiteSpin what visitors need to do
Describe your business and what customers should be able to do. SiteSpin asks a few questions, plans the pages and writes the words. SiteSpin builds your website in minutes with the bookings, shop or messages your business needs already working together.
- Let clients book. SiteSpin sets up your services with prices, durations and reminders before the appointment.
- Let customers buy. A shop holds your products with photos, prices, sizes and options.
- Let visitors write. A contact form sends messages to your inbox in the app. Reply as your business, and the customer’s answer returns to the same conversation.
Bookings, orders and messages arrive in the same app. Clients can pay for bookings and customers can pay for orders through your Stripe account. SiteSpin adds no transaction fee of its own; the payment provider’s card fees apply.
You can ask to add a product, move a booking or turn your news into a blog post. A new look is shown before and after, and you choose whether to publish it. If you start without photos, SiteSpin designs with type, color and shape.
Visitor statistics show how many people came and the bookings, messages and orders those visits led to. An eligible domain, registered and renewed for you while you subscribe, is included too. Choosing tools, writing pages, arranging the domain and keeping everything current are work SiteSpin does for you.
SiteSpin Pro is $28 a month, with everything above included. Changes by chat have a daily allowance. New to SiteSpin? Your first 7 days are free, and nothing is charged until they end.
Method and data
We counted every first website built on SiteSpin and published from May to October 2026. The websites were started between May 11 and October 26, 2026, and published at least once by their owners. Records were read on October 27, 2026. The findings describe this group, not all small businesses.
We excluded SiteSpin’s example businesses, staff and test accounts, and websites never published. Websites later paused or deleted remain included if they were published.
All shares use the full study population and are rounded to whole percentages. Owners chose a first goal from a fixed set; changes are counted after the build. Groups covering fewer than 20 websites are combined or left out. No business is named, no website is shown and nothing an owner wrote is quoted.
The figures are counts from SiteSpin’s own records. Download the CSV, published under CC BY 4.0, with each measure, its share and the window.
